Here they are. A whole LOT of Christmas cupcakes. This is 1/3rd of the big corporate order I got. There were almost 600 total. It was a lot of work, but I LOVED it!
Meet Tabitha. She is my girl. My only girl. You might say she is the reason I make cakes. After all, it all began with her first birthday cake.
Well, my Taba turned four and this girl loves her some "La-La-Lucy". We had a friend party, complete with this cake. Unfortunately, it was pouring rain outside and I didn't dare take the cake outside for good photos. A photographer I am not. So, this is the best we could do. Enjoy her Lalaloopsy cake!
My niece Piper turned 3 and her parents threw her an AMAZING Mad Hatter tea party. It was so much fun! I was honored to make her cake and cupcakes.
This cake is one of my all-time favorite cakes that I've made. It was gorgeous, and I'm a little disappointed in the pictures. The hat was dusted with this gold-green petal dust that gave it the coolest effect. Unfortunately, that didn't come through under the artificial lighting : (. It was a beautiful cake!
Piper and her dad...
Her carrot cake cupcakes with orange cream cheese frosting.
Two of my most favorite silly twinners turned 4 last week! Their mom ordered a train cake for them and it was a challenge, but I am very happy with how it turned out. It was mostly white cake with Oreo Buttercream filling. The engine had a big roll of cake pop "dough" made out of chocolate cake and fudge frosting.
My mom had a birthday this week and since she is my biggest fan, not to mention the best mom EVER, she needed a beautiful cake! I kind of love how this chocolate with vanilla buttercream cake turned out.
I used Choco-Pan fondant on this cake. It was my first time using it and I thought it was awful to work with, even though husband thought it tastes better than the Satin Ice. I will be sticking with the Satin Ice.
This is the curriculum for the class:
This job was so much fun! I was thrilled to be asked to make 150 cupcakes for the Launch Party of DoTerra's Diamond Club. DoTerra is an Essential Oil company based in Provo. I was asked to use the oils in the cupcakes which was challenging, and so YUMMY!
These cupcakes were the Carrot Cake with Wild Orange Oil Cream Cheese Frosting. That frosting tasted like an orange creamsicle. SO GOOD!
The chocolate cupcakes you see are called Hi Hats. They were Chocolate Cake with Peppermint Oil Marshmallow Frosting, Dipped in Semi-Sweet Chocolate. The event planner tells me they were the hands-down favorite... gone in under 10 minutes. Yay! I also did a Lemon Oil infused Cake with Lemon Buttercream Frosting and a Sugared Lemon on top. I ate one of those and it was pretty great too! The lemon is really popular this summer.
You get a horrible indoor picture on this cake because there was no way it would have held up in the heat for an outdoor (best lighting) photo. This cake was a challenge for me, most because it wasn't covered in fondant. Again, to keep costs down we cut that out. It is a chocolate cake with strawberries and whip filling. That makes a cake super slidey and tough to work with. Add the cream cheese frosting to that, which doesn't spread the same as buttercream, and this cake becomes difficult. I bet it tasted amazing though! I originally only had Buzz and Woody on the cake, but when I delivered it, Linkin added some of his other Toy Story toys. The cake just looked better with them on, so you get his version of the cake.
I love how this cake turned out! We actually did several things to keep the cost down, but I think it turned out stunning, despite those things. Sometimes i just love a single tier, buttercream cake that looks so crisp it looks fake.
My mom served an LDS mission in Quito, Ecuador. She was the assistant to the president and a couple of weeks ago, President and Sister Sloan came home. I made this cake for the top of a cupcake tower. Behind the figures is a volcano.
The silver SUV hanging off the mountain is kind of an inside joke regarding all their crazy adventures.
300 of these bad boys went with the cake. I made red velvet, carrot cake, and chocolate.
